Cap's Place was formerly a "rum-running restaurant and gambling casino" in the 1920's. It is one of the oldest restaurants in the county and listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
 After dining, strut your stuff along the Fort Lauderdale Promenade. The Promenade offers plenty of action in a recently renovated $26 million environment. There is an unending path of bars, restaurants, shops, and retail outlets. Continue along midway between Sunrise and Las Olas boulevards to nearby Beach Place for a similar environment. Boutiques with the latest creations and galleries with works from hot artists, there is Los Olas Boulevard.
